Sr. Controls Engineer​

Want to control a variety of hardware including motors, pneumatics, lighting, audio, video, special effects, etc...? At Hageneering, we specialize in helping our clients design and build custom machines from the ground up.

As Sr. Controls Engineer at Hageneering, you will design, build, and test custom machines for the entertainment, automotive, and aerospace industries.

• You will design electrical power distribution, motion control, lighting control, audio and video control systems

• You will help supervise the fabrication of the hardware you design.

• You will program the control systems you build.

• You will test everything you’ve designed, built, and programmed.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to understand the equipment requirements.

• Design control systems that solve the right problem.

• Present your designs both internally and to our clients.

• Adapt to fast-changing inputs, data, specifications, and requirements.

• Single line diagrams, operating manual documentation, assembly CAD models, power schematics, control schematics

• Fabrication Supervision

• Programming in PLC ladder logic, arduino, python, and others

• Testing

 

Basic Qualifications​

• Grit - the ability to push through adversity in order to achieve mastery

• Communication - the ability share thoughts and ideas effectively

• Intelligence - the ability to think on a first principles basis

 

Desired Skills and Experience

• CAD experience using Siemens NX, Solidworks, Catia, or similar

• 2+ years of experience designing and building control systems

• Experience communicating engineering requirements and drawings to production technicians or machine shops

• Hands-on fabrication and wiring experience: 

 

Additional Requirements

• Must be willing to work on-site in Torrance, CA, as well as occasionally travel around the world for installation support.
